Scroll anywhere on the menu bar. That's the volume.

A tiny macOS app for the one thing you do a hundred times a day. Move the cursor to the top of the screen, scroll, done — no clicks, no slider, no shortcut to memorize.

What it does

The shortest path from "too loud" to "perfect."

Anywhere on the bar
The entire menu bar becomes a scroll target. You don't aim for a tiny icon — just flick the cursor upward and scroll.
Instant
No clicks. No menu to open. No keyboard shortcut to remember. The gesture is shorter than the thought.
Precise
One notch of scroll, one step of volume. Trackpad, mouse wheel, Magic Mouse — all feel right.
iPhone bonus
A companion iOS app turns your phone into a wireless volume wheel for the same Mac, paired once.

Privacy

Nothing collected. Nothing sent anywhere.

Last updated: 25 May 2026.

Scroll Volume is built with privacy as a default. This page explains what the app does and does not do with data.

Data we collect

None. The app does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, no crash reporting services, and no third‑party trackers.

Data stored on your device

The app keeps a small amount of information locally so pairing works:

This information never leaves your device. Remove it any time by unpairing a host or deleting the app.

Local communication (iPhone companion only)

The optional iOS companion app talks directly to the Mac using Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework (Bluetooth and/or local Wi‑Fi). Traffic stays on your local network and is not routed through any server operated by us or any third party. The macOS app on its own does not communicate over the network at all.
